Welcome to the Centre For Fiction!

Our aim is simple: to explore the world of fiction and facilitate events centred around the joy of writing and the written word.

Some of the more recent endeavours the centre has been involved with include:

• Pathways to Publishing Symposium which brought together a host of publishing and creative professionals to discuss diversity and representation. Further information on the event can be found here, with more to come hopefully in future months!
• Hey! Festival, which saw several creative professionals come together to discuss and perform important issues, and you can catch up with the visual excerpts from the event on our video page.
• Manchester Writing School Summer Festival, a four-day celebration of creativity that brought together writers working across multiple genres for an immersive programme of workshops, masterclasses, and readings, which you can catch up with here.
